After all the farewell do's and final waving and hugging at the former Subang International Airport, we boarded the MAS plane and after almost 7 hours, we reached Dubai International Airport. It was a first experience for our young Mr RDR and Ms El on board the plane and certainly they were very excited with the flight experience in the Boeing 737.
After a day staying in Dubai International Hotel and also taking the opportunity to sight seeing and roaming the old Dubai City, we boarded the Kuwait Airways to our destination - the Kuwait City. Since the journey was short, taking less than 2 hours flight time so the kiddos were also enjoying the trip :)
When we finally arrived at the Kuwait International Airport, the Embassy staff and the office driver were already waiting for us. They took us to Le Meridian Hotel. The ride from the airport to the Hotel which was to be our home for a week was extremely smooth. My family and I also enjoyed the cool weather because we arrived during winter season - about 15 degrees Celsius.
Our first posting to Kuwait was truly blissful and in a way it connote a good start to welcome the new year 1994 - meaning with a new vocation at a new place for RY. Our children also will start their KG and I will start my new role as a Diplomat Spouse. In short, it was like a fresh start to all of us! Alhamdulilah, my heartiest prayer to Allah SWT for all His Grace to my family and I.
