I wrote the following write up in my blog two years ago but I did not publish it then. However, I decide to post it today as a tribute and remembrance of a young prince who accompanied HRH 'mencemar Duli' to our 'home and met Perwakilan Muscat Ladies' at Rumah Malaysia in the Sultanate of Oman. Yesterday, Malaysia and especially the State of Johor has lost her prince YAM Almarhum Tunku Abdul Jalil ibni Sultan Ibrahim (also known as Tunku Laksamana Johor) who passed away of liver cancer at a very young age of 25 (the same age as my one and only daughter, Lisa). Although I was shocked at his demised yet my heart and prayer went to DYMM Tuanku Sultan Johor and Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofia and all The Kerabat DiRaja Johor.
"Merafak sembah takziah atas kemangkatan Tunku Laksamana Johor. Al-Fatihah."
May his soul be with those that are righteous.
As for me, I am truly thankful to Allah SWT for the 'half hour intellectual chat' with Almarhum Tunku Laksamana who shared his passion in studying zoology in London and his willingness to take photos with the public. His down to earth attitude and friendliness will forever be remembered.

It is a rare moment and truly memorable. Perhaps it happens only once in a life time for a lay person like me to be a able to 'merafak sembah' to HRH Raja Zarith Sofia binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, consort of the Sultan of Johor who came to the Sultanate of Oman with her third Prince Tunku Laksamana Abdul Jalil ibni Sultan Ibrahim and her only Princess Tunku Tun Amina binti Sultan Ibrahim.
Yet, being a DS I was truly fortunate as it was not my first but second time to be given a duty to 'accompany' HRH as part of my duty and responsibility in the posting places. The first was during HRH visit to London in 2010. And, the second was on invitation by the Government of Oman to her HRH in December 2013.
