Treasures in CarBooties & StreetMarkets!

It was scorchingly hot Friday morning. I was told by a few friends to visit their CarBooties somewhere on a field @Seeb. But I was cautioned to wear hats or head covers to hide from the sun! Indeed, I did go as to give them some moral boosts. Some friends felt that they had many good things in their possessions which no longer useful to them. Perhaps useful to others such as children's clothing and toys since their children now have all grown up!

Other friends did for charity. They sold their still good 'unwanted' possessions since they already bought new ones. But the sale from the proceeds of things in their CarBooties they handed over to charity! It was truly an awesome deed. So, I went there not only to support their charitable deeds but to view the CarBooties fun time events!

The awesome duo with their Hidden Treasures in CarBooties for sale. Most items Sold Out! Some collections were spilled over on a gray mat or nicely arranged on hangers for customers to choose from :) Well Done Dear Sellers!

While watching the scenario @CarBooties event, I was intrigued and happy to observe the bargaining sessions between potential buyers and sellers. Indeed, both parties have their own skills and ways for a win-win situations. At the end of it, both parties were happy with the outcome - the buyer gets what he / she wants and the seller was happy to dispose some of the hidden treasures which they don't need anymore. It is liken to your unwanted hidden treasures now become my prized treasures @almost 95% discount!

I think it was truly worthwhile especially the sale of books. If we were to buy first hand in book stores, in most cases we have to pay between OR 6-OR10. And sometimes  more! But, @CarBooties, the price was slashed way way down which made the purchase an awesome bargain at only OR1 or just 500 baiza! Since they were mostly personal possessions, their  conditions are normally as good as new! Sometimes the books are not available anymore on the shelves, so @CarBooties will be the best alternative for book seekers :D

Awesome Experience - Potential buyers surveying and bargaining for best prices! Absolutely an exceptional view and at same time absorbing the trade in sales and purchases as well as learning the art of bargaining which cannot be found in any business book! It's the skills that count!

Just to share my experience when I was a student @Humberside and later continued my study near to Tyne River in UK. As mentioned earlier the price of first hand books are usually hefty. For a student, there are other things which we had to consider apart from the need to buy books namely the fees, lodgings and foods. What more if our passion is to read novels, fictions or biographical materials. Apart from reading or borrowing them from the library, the best alternative was to buy at super cheap prices @CarBooties, flea markets, and the second hand book shops like @Salvation Army, Oxfam, BreastCancerCharityShops and many more. But, my preference was@CarBooties along Tyne River. And for some antiques goodies, during our posting days in London I will stroll the most famous StreetMarkets in the world > the Portobello Market on most Saturdays :)

Some of the prized possessions that I bought during my looked outs and treasured till today from Portobello Market in London was an amethyst with pearls necklace. From an old jeweller Buddist friend in Myanmar, amethyst is one of the semi precious stones for healing stress, therefore she was of a view that having one in our possession is certainly useful. Although for me, it was more of the design and the antiqueness that caught my eyes!!! Another piece that I truly like is a vintage wedding cake Venetian Italian art glass. It is in turquoise, exceptionally sweet and enchanting :)

Two prized possessions which I bought @Portobello Market in London. Looking at them make me missing my Saturday morning strolls from end to end along the road through the heart of Notting Hill ... :)
