To celebrate Omani Women's Day, we were invited to savour our hearts, eyes and ears to splendid musics at the Royal Opera House in Muscat aka ROHM.
Before the show started we had a reception in a special room with lots of refreshments, mouthwatering chocolates and delicious finger foodies. It was also there that we mingled with the Women Who and Who in Muscat. Soon after, we were ushered to our respective seats in the opera hall. I was seated in a row reserved for diplomatic corps.
After watching several performances including from Oman, Central Asia and Egypt, there was an announcement of a special appearance to the audience. Rumors in the hall said, "A guy! Once a UNICEF Ambassador. Popular in Arab World." So, we were eagerly waiting for Mr Who? And, seconds later, there was the legendary Kazim Al Saher walking to the stage! He waved to his fans. Sounds of applause were heard from every corner of the Opera House. I have heard about him from my Arab female buddies who adore Arabic musics, but I have yet to see and hear his singing in person with all my senses (@^@)!
Wallah > I couldn't believe my eyes. His superstar figure and handsome face. At fifty-six he still looks very young and very energetic on stage. Immaculately dressed in dark suit which blends very well with his reddish fair skin, his appearance on stage was superstar! My eyes glued to him when he smiled and when he opened his mouth and talked to the audience, he melted all the hearts who heard him. Wow! he truly has a romantic voice. And somehow his 'shyness' enlightened his way of engaging with his audience that made them 'craving' more of him ...
While singing he was accompanied by a large and powerful Iraqi orchestra. His show was truly mesmerizing to all souls who hear his songs. It was poetry. Not knowing a single word of Arabic, what more Classical Arabic musics, but somehow surprisingly I was captivated by his hits - both songs and musics! The lullaby was captivating and enchanting. They were all love songs meant for women which truly fitted the special occasion that night! He was able to stir my emotions :) Masyallah. And the audience were wanting more and more of his songs! He exceptionally knew how to capture his audience's attention through Kazim's way!

After the show finished and when we walked hand-in-hand to our car, Mr Right uttered, "I notice you like his songs!" My spontaneous reply was, "I certainly did! He surely knows how to capture a woman's heart."
