Literally Maal Hijrah means migration. It also refers to positive starting point of new things where some people make new resolutions for betterment of their life. Others may prefer to take a step back and re-evaluate their previous deeds and inner selves for a better tomorrow. While a few may scrutinize their past and present achievements and continue to be thankful to their Creator and wish to give more in the coming years! All in All, every one wants to make oneself better today than yesterday :)
In the wake of Maal Hijrah, I received a message from my DiL with a picture of her new image in hijab. She wrote: 'Hi Ma, today is the day for me to wear hijab ... Pray for me ya. Love You!' And the caption for the picture was 'New Me!' Looking at the new her in my checkered red and blue dress with sweet black hijab and later showed the picture to my better half made me truly happy, blessed and full of supplications - Alhamdulillah! She has received her 'call' and now is migrating towards her new destination of life with full of confidence, support and redha from her husband.
To my Dear DiL, Mama wish you smooth sailing and breeze walk throughout your journey and if you ever face obstacles while weaving through the pathways and encounter some storms along the way, please be strong for there's always a way if there's a will and remember what Allah SWT sacred words in Surah Ash Sharh (94:5-6) which means relief after every difficulty and with every hardship comes ease. In other words, never be despair if you encounter problems or hurddles. They are part and parcel of life. They are just tests! Whole heartedly with lots of Iman > Put your faith in His Al Mighty and trust your heart and soul for there's always light at the end of the tunnel!
Salam Maal Hijrah to My DiL & Hubby :) May Allah SWT shower His Love, Grace and Blessings in All Good Things You Do!
